Indiana University Course Catalog
Creation of a course or modification of an existing course requires approval at a number of campus and all-university levels. Once approved, the course will appear on the Course Catalog. Courses may not be taught unless they appear on the catalog with final approval.
The appearance of courses on the Course Catalog which are offered at another Indiana University campus does not imply that a course number or title may be appropriated for departmental use without first processing a New Course Form with the notation "New to this Campus" in the justification line. Contact the Dean of the Faculties Office if you have questions or require clarification.
In special circumstances, interim approval to list the course in the Schedule of Classes may be granted and only if full approval of the new course or course change is anticipated prior to the start of the semester in which the new or modified course will be offered.
Deleted or inactive courses may not be taught unless approval to reinstate the course is granted.
