- Students - Submit your application directly to your school or department. Contact them to get the deadline they've set for each competition.
- Schools and Departments - Submit your nominations to our Awards and Fellowships SharePoint site. Refer to the training materials for detailed instructions.

Fellowships, Prospective Students
- Educational Opportunity Fellowship (EOF)
This fellowship is designed to enable promising students who are first generation college graduates and who do not fare well in conventional competition for graduate fellowships.
- The Graduate Scholars Fellowship
The Graduate Scholars Fellowship is for outstanding graduate students entering Ph.D. and M.F.A. programs at Indiana University, Bloomington who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and members of underrepresented groups.
- The Adam W. Herbert Graduate Fellowship
The Adam W. Herbert Graduate Fellowship was created through an endowment from the President's Fund for the purpose of supporting graduate study at Indiana University for graduates of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
- Ronald E. McNair Graduate Fellowship
The McNair Graduate Fellowship is for outstanding McNair Scholars entering Ph.D. or M.F.A. programs at Indiana University, Bloomington.

- Future Faculty Teaching Fellowships (FFTF)
For advanced IU Bloomington doctoral and M.F.A. students to enhance their career preparation by experiencing faculty life in another academic environment.
- The Esther Kinsley Master's Thesis Award
Must have completed Master's Thesis during the previous academic year; one $1,500 award.
- The Esther Kinsley Ph.D. Dissertation Award
Must have completed Ph.D. degree during the previous academic year; one $5,000 award.
- The Irving and Shirley Brand Graduate Fellowship
The fellowship is an annual fellowship for IUB incoming or current graduate students in the Humanities, with preference given to students of Philosophy.
- John H. Edwards Fellowship
The John H. Edwards Fellowship is one of Indiana University's most prestigious academic awards. The John H. Edwards Fellowships, in accordance with the bequest, will be awarded on the following basis: Good citizenship, character, especially attitude toward public service and the likelihood of future usefulness to society, scholastic ability, intellectual capacity, and upon such other bases and qualifications, and in such manner, as the Trustees of Indiana University in their discretion and judgment may determine from time to time, but always without regard to consideration of religion, creed, race, national origin, color, sex, or political affiliation.
- Santosh Jain Endowed Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship offers financial support to a current international graduate student who has demonstrated commitment to service and education and plans to pursue a service-oriented career and demonstrates financial need.
Preference will be given to graduate students from South Asia, in particular those hailing from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sikkim.
- The Wells Graduate Fellowship
One doctoral or M.F.A. student who exemplifies the characteristics of Chancellor Wells; single-year award of $33,000 that must be used the year it is granted.
